Building Local Community Connections Through Neighbor to Neighbor
At First Unitarian Universalist RVA, we believe that building a strong, supportive spiritual community starts right where you live. Our Neighbor to Neighbor (N2N) initiative groups members and friends of our congregation geographically to cultivate deeper friendships and accessible localized networks. These small-group settings make it easier to gather socially, share resources, and provide a quick circle of care for one another during challenging moments. By linking our households close to home, N2N helps us weave a tighter, more resilient fabric of belonging across the greater Richmond area.
Neighbor 2 Neighbor (N2N) geographically links our congregation by neighborhoods to develop friendship and local support for one another. N2N is a wonderful way to connect, build community and support one another in fun and meaningful ways.

N2N Statement of Purpose
Neighbor to Neighbor (N2N) is an initiative that was started to geographically link the members of our congregation by neighborhoods to develop friendship and support for one another in a small group setting. In addition, the groups provide enhanced ability to communicate with staff and with others in the wider church community, including networking with Team Kindness to support members of the congregation in times of need.
Groups meet at self-determined intervals and create their own way of gathering. Some groups may use their N2N group as an opportunity to develop volunteers for the support of the Church, or to become involved in social justice work and for others. N2N is primarily a way to gather socially and support each other.
